Hello Fellow Birders.
At 12.30 today there were 4 ad. LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULLS and a pure ICELAND GULL at the CEDAR GROVE MARINA. This is situated near Forest on Lake Huron. At the end of Townsend which runs west through Forest, turn Rt. and proceed to the sign for the Cedar Grove Marina. Turn down the road to the marina and drive half way down the hill to where the telephone pole is centered on the island.
With a 'scope the birds can be seen.
This is semi-private property so if you are asked you could say that 'A local birdwatcher had found something special.'

There is a sub. ad. L.BB. Gull there too as it has been for the last 3 years. It looks very 'grungy' in flight and look for it's yellow legs.

Among the 7 imm. GLAUCOUS GULLS there is a pure ad. ICELAND GULL with no dark marks on the primaries. It was washing itself this morning.

In years past, these birds would have been found in the St. Clair River or in Sarnia Bay, but birders are very thin on the ground there now and not everyone is retired!
Regards and Good Birding.
