After enjoying an evening walk last night at Hiawatha Conservation Area in Sault Ste Marie, I was pleasantly surprised to hear my first American Woodcock of the season. The woodcock was heard off of Fish Hatchery Road which is located north of Sault Ste Marie off of Landslide Road.
Within the city this morning (and for the past week or so) Northern cardinals, song sparrows, robins, and red-winged blackbirds have been singing. Monique Wester Sault Ste.
