I was excited after reading Chris Evans reports earlier in the week so I made
the drive today so I could be there first thing in the morning. I saw two
hooded merangers, many pintails, mallards, buffleheads, ring-necks ducks,
common goldeneyes, a few trumpter swans and a pied billed grebe made for a nice
surprise. The pintails were far into the flooded sod fields but I had very nice
views of the ring necked ducks. It was well worth the drive. McKinnon road was
not blocked by water but concession #2 was.
