On Tuesday March 16 we saw two small flocks of Bohemian Waxwings that were
taking short flights from tree tops to catch large flying insects. At first we
thought they were taking courtship flights but inspection of photos later
showed the large flying insects. See example at link below. We saw these
flocks at Upper Nicholson's Locks and at Baxter Conservation Area south of
Ottawa.

Similar to a recent OntBird report, we saw a Big Brown Bat fluttering around in
bright sunshine about 3pm yesterday afternoon west of Ottawa.
