While visiting the Leslie Spit area on Sunday (Feb 21st)my friend and I were alerted to the presence of a peregrine falcon in the area by another bird enthusiast. We left the area feeling disappointed that we did not find it but as we drove north a short distance from the spit we did catch sight of him perched atop a young tree along the bicycle path on the east side.
