Greetings, While driving accross from Windsor to Niagara along Hwy 401, and doing the usual hawk counting, saw a Turkey Vulture soaring over exit 149. Then, roughly 15 km to the East, there was a beautiful Western Red-Tailed Hawk in an 'intermediate morph' perched along the road (S. side).
If someone could respond to this and tell me what the status is of Turkey Vulture in S. Ontario in January, I would appreciate it. Incidentally, we counted only 25 Red-Tails on the drive falling far short of our record 96 a couple years ago.
