I spent a very windy hour birding around Bronte Harbour this morning and
did not see the Yellow-throated Warbler again. An adult Bald Eagle flew
over twice. One mink was chasing another over the broken ice. I also saw
a mink with a dead male Mallard.
Directions: Exit the QEW at Bronte Rd. (Oakville) and go to the lake. By
public transit take the GO Train to Bronte Station and then take
Oakville Transit bus number 2 to Lakeshore Rd. and walk south a couple
of blocks to the lake. Busses are at the west end of the station.
