Hi Ontbirders
Despite the resent cold overnight temperatures, -20c, there are still a good
number of gulls in the Ottawa area. Today I checked the Trail Road Landfill
Site and had 1500+ gulls including 200+ Great Black-backed , 22 Glaucous, 16
Iceland and 1 1st winter Thayer's Gull. The only Ring-billed Gulls were 3 1st
winter along Carling Ave at the Ottawa River Parkway. There were 6 Gray
Partridge on Maple Grove Road near the Sensplex. Also observed 40+ Bohemian
Waxwing at Moodie Drive and Carling Ave.
Good birding, Bruce
