Spotted today hunting near shore on Lake Ontario in Oakville. The adult made an attempt at a fish, about 30 metres from the beach. Large, fully mature bird with trademark white head and tail.
The sighting was in the new park at Great Lakes Blvd on the south side of Lakeshore Rd, at the foot of the Lakeshore Woods neighbourhood just east of Burloak. This is our fourth Bald Eagle sighting within 1km of this spot in the past 24 months.
