Birders:

Wonder of wonders. . .at 11:45 a.m. I just had the Black-Tailed gull
feeding in a large group of gulls below the cliff here at Monarch Landing.

There is slush and snow, shells, and debris the gulls were diving into
to get food. I watched it for a short time circling, the black tail band very
distinctive from above from perhaps 60 to 100 feet away. The whole group of
gulls moved on west after a few minutes ,feeding along the shore as they moved
towards Port Burwell.

I will head into town to see if I can spot it again.

I just wanted to post this immediately.

Port Burwell is at the southern terminus of hiway 19 south, take the
Ingersol-Tillsonburg exit at 401.
