Good morning fellow birders. Sue spotted Mr. P feeding (in the adjacent
backyard at 20 Ascot)on the multiflora rose at approx. 07:30 where it stayed
until approx. 8:15 when it was driven off by the mockingbird. Where Mr. P went,
we don't know. I watched the mockingbird as it devoured the same rose hips that
Mr. P. enjoys. Then at approx. 09:45 the merlin presented himself and
everything scattered and the birds have been quiet. I'll take another walkabout
to see if I can find where Mr. P. is finding cover and if it's located, I'll
send another post.
