Hello Fellow Birders:What a great weekend to view Mr. P. We had beautiful calm
weather and most people had wonderful views. The interaction between the
mockingbird and Mr. P. was very interesting. Often times the cardinals and the
mockingbird were in close proximity to the Phainopepla and it was a good
opportunity to compare sizes, agility etc. Once again birders and non-birders
alike, enjoyed the excitement and it's been heartwarming to see the generosity
of birders, sharing not only information but sharing their binos and scopes as
well. The non-birders reciprocate by an eagerness to learn and by so generoulsy
opening their yards for better viewing.
Once again it's great to report that Mr. P. is alive and well and feeding
hungrily at his favourite buffet, the rose bush in the backyard adjacent to #20
Ascot. Sue, who lives there still continues to leave her carport door open for
easy access to the backyard. If Sue is not there she insists that everyone is
welcome and to go ahead.
By the way the weather here is lovely, mostly sunny with a bit of cloud. The
fog has burned off but I've heard that the fog is quite thick between London
and Hamilton.
Continued good birding and good luck.
