My apologies for the delay in posting this.
There were 7 Trumpeter swans on Mill Pond in Hillsburgh at 8 am on Sunday
morning. They appeared to be 2 adults and 5 young of year. These may well be
the ones that nested on Lake Roman earlier this year. I was unable to clarify
the tags from where I was standing. These birds were also seen flying over Lake
Roman on the previous evening. Also seen was a Hooded Merganser.
Mill Pond is located behind the library in Hillsburgh, across from Foodland.
Hillsburgh is on Trafalgar Road, just north west of Erin, Ontario.
