An unsuccessful effort this morning for the Black-tailed Gull at Port Burwell. There were very few gulls at the East Beach and even fewer at the Day Use beach. We observed the small flocks of gulls exhibiting a similar behavior as Garth Riley mentioned in his previous post, heading north up the river. It may be worth a try later in the day before they roost. Alan Wormington, Stu Mackenzie and I did however turn up an Eared Grebe with some Horneds about 300m off the Day Use beach.
