Visitors:
Claude Radley and Todd Pepper stopped by to show (insert name),of Toronto,
around Holiday Beach. Olga Klekner was out for the afternoon to help spot
and enjoy the close Goldens.

Weather:
Thick fog blanketed the area up through late AM when the fog slowly began
to burn off. Otherwise, mostly to partly cloudy skies with East-northeast
to East-southeast winds at 1 to 7 mph. Temps. ranged from 13.2 to about
15.5 C. Visibility greatly reduced by fog early on, but improved
considerably by mid-PM; very poor to fair.

Raptor Observations:
A surprising lift off and passage of Turkey Vultures and Red-tailed Hawks
between 1100 and 1120 EST as the sun burned through the fog and the winds
picked up out of the East-northeast. Flight died down again with returning
cloud cover, but this period of inactivity was short lived. Five immature
Golden Eagles, two boldly-marked juvenile Northern Goshawks, and a light
morph Rough-legged Hawk were the highlights.

Non-raptor Observations:
14 species of waterfowl,

Double-crested Cormorant- 13 (flyovers),

Great Blue Heron- 20+,
Great Egret- 6+,
Black-crowned Night-Heron- 2 juv.

COMMON NIGHTHAWK- 1 (flying out in front of Tower to the E for 2-3 mins.

Predictions:

10 mph. High of 14C. Chance of rain around 70%. Looks like it will be a
slow day.
