Weather: A slow day with South-West-South winds at around 5-15mph. Visibility was clear but also a little hazy at times. Cloud cover went from around 30% up to 85% later. Raptor Observations: Not to many birds moved or were seen around the area today with the South-West winds. Another Northern Goshawk came past, it went low right over the water. Shortly after that a Juvenile Golden Eagle also went by. Besides that not much else went on. Non-raptor Observations: Not much around today Predictions: It should be a little warmer Tuesday and have slightly lighter winds, but again from the South-West. The warmer temps might make some larger birds move like Golden Eagles, Turkey Vultures, and Red-tailed Hawks. However the South-West winds might keep the flight to the North away from the count, or slow it down altogether. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Seth Cutright ([email protected]) SMRR- Lake Erie Metropark information may be found at: http://www.smrr.net/ _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
