Reports received October 8 through October 15 from the Niagara Frontier Region.

October 11, at the Countryside Gravel Ponds, on Route 62 in the Cattaraugus County Town of Dayton, a SANDHILL CRANE. Also the 11th, PEREGRINE FALCON at the power plants on the lower Niagara River.

On the Saint Columbans property, on Route 5 in the Chautauqua County Town of Sheridan, reports this week included YELLOW-B. SAPSUCKER, HOUSE WREN, WINTER WREN, 29 GOLDEN-CR. KINGLETS, 17 RUBY-CR. KINGLETS, 5 HERMIT THRUSHES, GRAY CATBIRD, 3 EASTERN TOWHEES and 6 WHITE-THR. SPARROWS.

At Amherst State Park, October 8, 3 ORANGE-CR. WARBLERS, plus 2 MARSH WRENS, BLUE-HEADED VIREO, NASHVILLE WARBLER, YELLOW-R. WARBLER, BL.-THR. GREEN WARB., COMMON YELLOWTHROAT, 2 FOX SPARROWS and WHITE-CR. SPARROW.

 Shorebirds this week - In Fort Erie, Ontario, 3 BLACK-
BELLIED PLOVERS at Jaeger Rocks and 5 SEMIPALMATED PLOVERS at Stonemill Road. At Dunkirk Harbor, RUDDY TURNSTONE and DUNLIN. And, reports of LONG-B. DOWITCHERS continue at the Griswold Road marsh, north of Route 77 in the Tonawanda Wildlife Management Area.

Other reports - four BALD EAGLES at Saint Columbans and single BALD EAGLES at Dunkirk Harbor and over the Thruway at Angola. Seven EASTERN BLUEBIRDS in Sheridan and 2 EASTERN BLUEBIRDS at the French Creek Nature Sanctuary in the Chautauqua County Town of Sherman. NORTHERN MOCKINGBIRD in the Town of Akron. From Buffalo, near Delaware Park, an exceptionally large flock of EUROPEAN STARLINGS. And, in a north Buffalo yard, a description of what was most likely a migrant HERMIT THRUSH.
