Guided bird-watching hikes are once again offered at Riverwood. Beginning
Tuesday, September 29, two expert birders, Luc Fazio and Dan Salisbury, will
lead walks along Riverwood's trails on Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting at
2:30 pm. Bring your own binoculars and meet Luc and Dan at MacEwan Barn. Luc
and Dan will share their bird identification skills, including birding by
ear, with you as you encounter those challenging fall migrants.
There is no charge for these walks and registration is not required. Birders
of all skill levels and families are welcome. All walks begin at 2:30 pm and
last approximately two hours. All walks will be on maintained trails;
however, the terrain is steep and some surfaces will be uneven. Walks may be
cancelled or shortened due to heavy rain.

habitats, along the Credit River between Burnhamthorpe Road West on the

marked trails in Riverwood. A printable map is available at

appreciated at [email protected].
