At 2:45pm today, I had a Black Vulture circling over Turkey Point marsh at 1634 Front Road, located between St. Williams and Turkey Point Road in Norfolk County. The bird was circling at treetop level and drifting slowly eastward when last seen. Good potential vistas also available at Long Point Eco-Adventures site (1km east at 1730 Front Road), the roadside Turkey Point marsh overlook (1km west), or any other vista along the lake shore.
Directions: Follow regional highway 24 south and then west about 15 km from Simcoe. Turn south toward Lake Erie on Turkey Point Road (Reg. Rd. 10). About 250m south of the entrance to Turkey Point Prov. Park campground, turn west on Front Road. Vulture was last seen about 2.5km west of Turkey Point Road from 1634 Front Road.
