Had a wander on the Jack Pine Trail south-west of Ottawa this morning.

Had quite a good view of a single juvenile sora (no black facial
markings) at the first boardwalk (taking the trail clockwise, that
is). There was another bird, either a sora or a rail, nearby, but it
ran away too fast to identify.

At the second boardwalk there was a single Virginia Rail.

The Jack Pine Trail parking lot is found by searching for
45.293158,-75.815974 in Google Maps.
