On Sunnyside Beach, a Baird's Sandpiper was studied this evening at close
focus range with four Semipalmated Sandpipers. It was observed at the
eastern end of a wide section of beach, just west of where the shoreline is
artificially reinforced with small rocks.
Interestingly, my only other Baird's in Spring was seen at the same time of
year in similar weather conditions on the Leslie St. Spit.

>From Lakeshore Rd. East, turn right into the first parking lot. This is at
the foot of Windermere Ave. Walk along the boardwalk to an area of beach
approximately opposite Ellis Ave.
