Hi all,
the bird was still there tonight around 6.30pm. It was mainly quiet although it
sang for approximately 10 minutes. It was feeding in the trees at the eastern
end of the section 45 (see the following link:
http://www.mountpleasantgroupofcemeteries.ca/images/MP%20Map%20-%201%20Km%20Walks.pdf ).
It showed really well and was still there when I left around 7.20 pm.
Wonderful bird!
Also to be seen in the same area :
1 Olive-sided Flycatcher , Cedar Waxwings, 1 Scarlet Tanager, 2 Ruby-throated
Hummingbirds and 1 Magnolia Warbler.

Mount Pleasant Cemetery is located at 375 Mount Pleasant Road (south of Merton
and north of Moore).

Good birding

Objet: [Ontbirds] Golden-winged Warbler in Mount Pleasant Cemetery (Toronto)

This morning at 7:30 in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Kevin Seymour found a male
Golden-winged Warbler.  While there were a few pockets of warblers throughout
the park, the Golden-winged was associating with a few Chickadees, Goldfinches,
Least Flycatcher, Cedar Waxwings and a Philadelphia Vireo.  While it didn't
sing for us, it did give us great views.

Mount Pleasant Cemetery is located at 375 Mount Pleasant Road (south of Merton
and north of Moore) and the bird was on the east side (the cemetery spans Mount
Pleasant from Yonge St. to Bayview Ave).  When last seen, the warbler was in
the north of the cemetery, in the birch tree used to label Section 46.

A map of the cemetery with the sections can be found at
