Friends of Point Pelee provide guided birding hikes throughout the Festival of Birds at Point Pelee National Park of Canada. Proceeds from hikes support the Friends of Point Pelee and Point Pelee National Park. This submitted report is a service of the FoPP Hike Leaders.
Wednesday May 13, Another movement of birds into the Park. New migrants, especially warblers have been located in a variety of places in the Park. At the tip, an *American Pipit* was flying about and actually landed in a tree for a while. Also noted at the Tip, *Northern Parula, Orange-crowned and Wilson’s Warblers*. Along the West Beach, north of the Tip, a couple of *Clay-colored Sparrows*were noted, as well as a *Yellow-breasted Chat*. The place to be for warbler hunting was Tilden Woods. *Kentucky, Cerulean, Bay-breasted, Hooded* and a host of others were reported. Also noted were Scarlet Tanager, Indigo Bunting, and many orioles, among other species. I have heard few reports from the Woodland Nature trail but know that at least one *Canada Warbler* was seen there. Down the Post Woods Seasonal Trail a pair of *Red-headed Woodpeckers* were seen. Just in, a *Mourning Warbler* was located at Sleepy Hollow.
