Hi All,
After class today I decided to do some "for-what-it's-worth" birding at
Kortright. I was not disappointed. Within a single hour I managed to find
two stunning CERULEAN WARBLERS (Male & Female, respectively) in a massive
mixed flock right by the entrance to the Marsh Boardwalk. Other notable
species included NORTHERN PARULA and an early BAY-BREASTED WARBLER amongst
huge numbers of the common warblers, most common being Yellow-rumped and
Black-throated Green today. It was a remarkable contrast to yesterday at the
same locale, with nearly zero migrant warblers observed.

Other birds of note include good numbers of Scarlet Tanager, Rose-breasted
Grosbeak, Baltimore Oriole, Warbling Vireo, an Olive-sided Flycatcher, and a
Cliff Swallow over the Marsh, my first for Kortright. A Coyote was also
noted from the Boardwalk.

Not bad for an hour's birding!
