Greetings: This morning we spent three hours in the park looking for Spring migrants and were not disappointed. Among all the latest larger migrants were several Black-Throated Blue Warbler, American Redstart, Black and White Warbler, many Yellow Warblers (both male and females) and many Yellow-rumped Warblers (also both male and female). The Common Yellow Throated Warbler could also be heard singing. I did not see the Palm today. We managed to observe at least two different nesting pair of Blue-grey Natcatchers.
This coming weekend is the Warblers and Wimbrels Weekend at Presqu'ile Provincial Park. Please watch for Fred's very detailed report regarding all the migrants at Presqu'ile. Presqu'ile is located in the Town of Brighton, which is exit 509 south off the 401. Them follow the signs to the park. A beautiful morning for birding.
