“Journey to the Land of Subarctic Shorebirds”

The Friends of Point Pelee and Point Pelee National Park of Canada, invite
you to join them at our annual dinner, in support of the “Keep the Songs
Alive” fundraising campaign.
This casual affair features guest speaker Jean Iron, former Ontario Field
Ornithologists (OFO) president and editor. Jean Iron is a renowned
photographer, educator and birding expert.
Take a virtual journey with Jean to James Bay, Akimiski Island and see the
summer home of the most southerly Polar Bears in the world, and it’s vast
mudflats that are of hemispheric importance to migrating Artic shorebirds.
In this digital presentation you will see Akimiski’s birds and mammals, and
experience its subartic wilderness.
