Hi Ontbirders,

This afternoon, 8 April, at 3:15 PM Debbie Campbell and I observed the Ross's Goose on the Moodie Drive Pond along with well over a thousand Canada Geese. I have never seen as many geese on the ponds. We observed it for about fifteen minutes before we lost it. We left the area as hundreds of the geese were taking off and flying in a westerly direction, but passed by the ponds at 4:45 PM and there were then only a few dozen geese along with a variety of ducks, Common Mergansers and a handful of gulls.

Happy Birding

Directions: The ponds are on the east side of Moodie Drive between Barnsdale Road and Cambrian Road to the west of Highway 416 and in the vicinity of the Trail Road landfill site.
