The Niagara Peninsula Hawkwatch is holding its annual open house at Beamer Conservation Area in Grimsby this coming Good Friday, April 10, from 10AM-3PM. There will be a voluntary admission draw, workshops on Hawk ID and the Raptor Migration over the Niagara Peninsula, live birds of prey, a program for the kids, nature related exhibits and, with luck, hawks flying over. Follow Christie St./Mountain St. to the top of the escarpment, turn right on Ridge Road West, and go 1.6km to Quarry Rd. Turn right on Quarry Rd. and drive 100m to the conservation area. PLEASE NOTE: On Open House day car parking will NOT be available inside the park.
