This afternoon there was a field sparrow at my feeders. When I saw the pink
beak, eye ring & little rusty cap I had to look twice. I was doing Project
Feeder Watch today so this was quite a surprise. The bird doesn't stay on the
feeder very long, more grab & run, like a chickadee.

Still lots of regulars around, siskins, redpolls, juncos, white throated & tree
sparrows & hairy, downy & rb woodpeckers. The field sparrow was using the
feeder on the east side of the house, adjacent to the bank over Big Creek.

We're at 905 6th Conc. Rd., just west of the Village of Walsingham (north of
Long Point, Hwy #59).
