Some of you have been to Betty Pegg's property in the past--her feeder set-up
is as active as ever. In the past 3 days the following have been seen-- 2
WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILLS, 2 COMMON REDPOLLS, 9 PURPLE FINCHES (4 male), 1 HOUSE
FINCH, many Am. Goldfinches, both nuthatches, downy and hairy woodpeckers,
juncos, tree sparrows, song sparrow.

Up to 10 days ago a male RED-BELLIED WOODPECKER has visited to feed on suet-- a
young sharp-shinned hawk appeared in a tree at the front of the house-- the R-B
W has not been seen since!!! --our eyes are open.

Betty is happy to have birding visitors--park, then walk around the property,
viewing the feeding stations at front and back.

North on Westney Rd., through Highway 7 to the next concession, #7; turn left,
her laneway being the first on the south side--drive up the lane.
