Hello All,

The feeders were busy today at Kortright after yesterday's snow. I saw a
HERMIT THRUSH visit the second set of feeders if one were to follow the
rightmost trail at "the sugar bush shop". While waiting for him to return,
a male PURPLE FINCH also visited the feeder. PINE SISKINS in good numbers
are also visiting various feeders there, and an occasional COMMON REDPOLL.

Away from the feeders, Kortright's resident wintering flock of AMERICAN
ROBINS put on a spectacular show eating berries in the small meadow at the
bottom of the middle trail of the trail heads at the sugar bush shop. There
were 100+ birds. WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILLS are still in abundance.

Maple Keys in various areas were being fed on by something (suggested by
several empty keys on the ground). It may have been the Robins, but Pine
Grosbeaks are sometimes found here (saw a bird here two weeks ago) and also
eat the keys, so keep an eye out for them.

DIRECTIONS:

The Kortright Centre is located three kilometers west of Highway 400
and one kilometer south of Major Mackenzie Drive at 9550 Pine Valley
Drive in Woodbridge.
