Around 11:30 this morning, I was driving south of the airport. There have been
few sightings of any birds there for a while, which still proved to be the
fact. I
found 1 Red-tailed Hawk on a hydro pylon near Bowesville and Earl Armstrong Rd
and 1 Rough-legged Hawk in a tree on LImebank at the intersection with
Leitrim. The fun, though was finding 2 small flocks of Wild Turkeys still
sleeping in trees. A group of 9 were in trees at the back of a field along
Earl Armstrong,
south side past a line of hydro pylons. The other group of 3 were in trees
wesst of Limebank near Leitrim.
These roads are found heading south on River Rd just east of the Hunt Club
bridge. More directions can be found on ofnc.ca

Cheers, Eve
