A day tour of the west end of Amherst turned up 5 Snowy Owls. One on
the tree behind the township office just a km south of Stella, the
ferry terminus and 4 more along the south shore road towards the SW
corner of the island.
Directions: The Amherst Island ferry departs from Millhaven on Hwy #33
which is about 22 km west of Kingston.
