Hi Ontbirders: A flock of about 20 Bohemian Waxwings was present near Billings Bridge on the Rideau River at 3:30 this afternoon. The flock was moving about in the tops of large trees just to the west of the bridge at the corner of Wendover Avenue and Warrington Drive. Only four duck species (Mallard, Black Duck, Common Merganser and Common Goldeneye) were present at Billings Bridge on the Rideau River. There were no gulls present this afternoon. Peter Hall Directions: Take Bank Street south from Highway 417. Cross over the Rideau Canal just south of Landsdowne Park and continue past Sunnyside Avenue to Cameron and look for a parking spot on Bank before you would have to cross over Billings Bridge at the Rideau River. Head west on foot along the Rideau River using Warrington Drive to Wendover Avenue.. _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
