We saw 2 Bald Eagles (one mature, one juvenile) screaming west along the
Ottawa River west of Braeside this afternoon. They slowed down briefly and
almost locked talons and then continued their flight. We drove 80 km/hr and
were just keeping up with them for 2-3 minutes until they veered north
across the river. A Google search indicates their top speed in horizontal
flight to be about 70 km/hr.
