Several birders saw the American Avocet this (Monday) morning where
Duffins Creek empties into Lake Ontario at Rotary Park in Ajax. From
401 take Westney Road south past Bayly Street and turn right on Lake
Driveway to Rotary Park. Take foot bridge that crosses Duffins Creeks
and the avocet was chasing minnows in the shallow water at the creek's outlet.
