The 2 ridiculously tame Purple Sandpipers are still foraging in the extreme
SW corner of Cobourg harbour, out of the cold NW wind. Of the 5 Dunlin
nearby, 2 are unfortunately quite badly oiled.
The 3 Brant - one rather worn adult and 2 much more dapper young - have been
grazing on the lawns around the yachtclub, but retreat to swim in the inner
harbour when there are too many dogs about.
There was at least 1 Cackling Goose among the flocks of Canadas flying in
and out of the harbour.
One White-winged Crossbill called from the very top of a spruce tree near
the yachtclub.

Directions:
Exit Hwy.401 at Division Street, Exit 474, and drive south to the harbour.
Drive round the north edge of the harbour for free parking on the west side,
and walk out on the west headland.
