Observation start time: 08:30:00
Observation end time: 16:30:00
Total observation time: 8 hours

Official Counter: Calvin Brennan

Observers: John Elliott, Rodney Laura, Terry Angevine

Visitors:
Jim Maki
Larry Schneider

Weather:
Heavy overcast dominated most of the day today with clearing occurring
during the last couple of hours of the count. Winds were moderate to fairly
strong and gusty from the west-northwest.

Raptor Observations:
Predictably the flight was quite light for much of the day with a nice push
of birds seen once the skies cleared late in the day. In fact the TVs were
still floating by even in the early evening with most of the almost four
hundred being seen in the last hour and a half of the watch. Most of the 10
Golden Eagles were seen late and in several instances involved multiple
birds flying by at the same time. Two adult male Harriers and two dark
morph Rough-legs rounded out the highlights for the day.

Non-raptor Observations:
Sandhill Cranes were seen on two occasions today with groups of two and
fourteen seen. Tree Swallows were fairly numerous today; each looked at
closely in anticipation of vagrants.
