Ontbirders
This morning there were two Purple Sandpipers on Sebastopol Island (formerly a
part of Gull Island). The birds could usually be seen by scope looking north
from the west end of Gull Island. There was also a Snowy Owl on Gull and then
nearby High Bluff Island. A good mix of shorebirds is still frequenting the
area.
Because of the Presqu'ile duck hunt, access to Gull Island for non-hunters is
limited to Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
The way to Presqu'ile Provincial Park is well-marked south of Brighton.
