Good afternoon ONTBirders:

I was searching the fields around the Ottawa airport for anything interesting
and encountered my first pair of ROUGH-LEGGED HAWKS for the autumn, flying over
the fields north of Limebank & Leitrim Roads. On Earl Armstrong Road, the
small quarry pond that hosted two great egrets a few weeks ago has been filled
in, but that did not deter a G-B HERON from standing in the middle of the road
as I passed by (it flew off after I had passed it due to another oncoming car).
There were also a trio of juvenile WHITE-CROWNED SPARROWS near Earl Armstrong
and Bowesville Roads.

Good birding and Happy Thanksgiving.
