Greetings all,

The Red-necked Phalarope was still at Owen Point this morning, feeding along the edge of the algae and water. Also present was a Whimbrel, a juv. Western Sandpiper, half a dozen Baird's (juv) and White-rumps (adults) and lots of the usual suspects up close allowing for great viewing. At least two imm. Merlins were giving them some grief.

Cheers,

Doug McRae

Directions: Presqu'ile is located on the north shore of Lake Ontario, south of Brighton. Take Hwy 30 from the 401 and follow south into town then follow the park signs. Owen Pt. is the southern most tip of the beach.
