Hi All,
My wife and I travelled to Cement Plant Road in Port Colborne this afternoon
(12:40 PM) and did not observe the Western Kingbird. We continued along to
the pond further south on Cement Plant Road. Many thanks to the two women
who informed us of the pond. As mentioned in Jim Pawlicki's report many
shorebirds were present (1:15 PM). We did not observe the Stilt Sandpiper
but did observe a White-rumped Sandpiper in the northern section of the
pond. The two Great Egrets (no bands) were present and we also observed at
least 20 Blue-winged Teal on the pond.
At Morgan's Point Conservation Area, we observed one Lesser Black-backed
Gull amongst the many gulls.
At the Base on Morgan's Point many shorebirds and gulls were observed.
Also, a Ruddy Turnstone was observed briefly.
