At 4:30 this afternoon (Sun Aug 24) Ruth Lambert and I visited the two small ponds on the March Valley Road just south of the junction with Klondike. There were six white-rumped sandpipers in the smaller pond and one pectoral sandpiper in the grass beside the larger pond (at the corner of Klondike). There were also lesser and greater yellowlegs, juvenile hooded merganser and many blue-winged teal.
