The cold front that came in last night freshened up the migration scene at
Kortright today. All one had to do was locate a band of Chickadees and sit
back and pick out the warblers. There were significant numbers of all
species of warblers listed below.

Here are the warblers species listed by abundance, most to least common
today:

American Redstart
Cape May
Magnolia
Chestnut-sided
Canada
Nashville
Bay-Breasted
Wilson's

I'm positive that there were much, MUCH more that eluded detection and I
didn't stay very long.

Also possibly brought in with the front included numerous RED-EYED VIREO,
EMPIDONAX FLYCATCHERS, and a flock of over 10 RED-BREASTED NUTHATCHES eating
Pine seeds near the entrance. EASTERN KINGBIRDS were all over. Of course
there were all the regulars, cardinals, song sparrows and the like.

Directions:

The Kortright Centre is located three kilometers west of Highway 400
and one kilometer south of Major Mackenzie Drive at 9550 Pine Valley
Drive in Woodbridge.
