This morning at 8:30 a.m. during my Daily walk I heard and saw a flock of approx. 25 Red Crossbills as they flew north low over Elizabeth Street ( west of Yonge St., north of Major MacKenzie Drive ) in Richmond Hill.
Old Richmond Hill has many conifers but I do not think the cones are mature yet as all of the ones that I have seen knocked down by Red Squirrels are green.
