I've had several emails asking about the arrival times for adult and
juvenile shorebirds. Fall migration of shorebirds begins in late June
and goes to mid November or later if freeze-up is late. Adult
shorebirds migrate first followed somewhat later by respective
juveniles. Here are two lists for adults and juveniles of 18
shorebird species that migrate regularly through southern Ontario.
