This afternoon, around 4, I had a Turkey Vulture fly over my car on Carling and Holly Acres Rd, heading towards Andy Haydon Park. A bit further up, on Cedarview Rd, a pair of Red-tailed Hawks ( I have seen them here a few weeks ago) mating in the tree in the middle of the field. The female seemed to have a very light tail from the underside, while the male's tail is all red.
Both these locations can be accessed via the 416 / 417.
Also, our resident Peregrine Falcons are being seen more often at the Crowne Plaza and today were seen mating.
Spring, where are you????
Cheers, Eve _______________________________________________
