5 of us searched for owls today around Hamilton. Found 5 Short-eared at 
Fisherville Raptor Reserve on Conc. # 6, a Screech owl near Cayuga, and the 
Hawk Owl at Ridge Road & 10th, plus 2 Peregrines at the lift bridge in 
Burlington, 2 Coopers Hawks, 30 + Red-tails, 3 Rough-legs, a Northern Harrier 
at Kohler Raceway (Kohler/#20), a Northen Shrike and 4 Kestrels.
    Other incidental finds were Red-bellied Woodpecker at Cayuga, Common 
Redpoll, American Tree Sparrows, Horned Larks, Snow Buntings, and a Red-winged 
Blackbird.
     Ducks at Windermere Basin in Hamilton were GW Teal, Pintail, Ring-necked, 
Ruddy, all 3 Mergansers, both Scaup, 6 DC Cormorants; Surf, Black and 
White-winged Scoters off 50 Pnt Rd., and 2 Horned Grebes when we ended the day 
with an unsuccessful search for Snowy Owl at Col Sam Smith Pk.     Dave
