Hello Ontbirders,
I was surprised to hear a Tufted Titmouse singing when
I walked out of the house a few minutes ago. I
imitated its song and it flew right in for a look. If
there wasn't already one in the Ottawa district this
winter, this would create a fair bit of excitement.
Directions:
Take the March Road exit at Kanata off Highway 417.
Follow it to Dunrobin Road. Turn right on Dunrobin
Road. Head west(ish) for ~15 minutes then turn right
on Constance Bay Drive. Take the 2nd right onto Monty.
We are 146 Monty. If it is vocalizing it will be easy
to find. If not, hopefully it will come to the feeders
- it has not done this yet as far as I know. It must
have just arrived in the area today.
Not much else around at the moment. We have lots of
redpolls at the feeders including as many as 3 Hoarys
(none today) and 1 Greater (seen today). Also a
Pileated at the feeder.
