hello
I saw a short-eared owl on the ground in a field just east of a house at 723
South Middle Rd in Lakeshore township in Essex county at approx 5:00 tonight.
Also, there have been flocks of Tundra swans east of Point Pelee and on the
Rochester Townline in Lakeshore as well on the weekend.

To see the owl exit the 401 at the St Joachim exit and go south approx 5 km to
the hamlet of Ruscom. Continue south on county rd 31 1 more km until you reach
a bend in the road. Instead of taking the bend heading east, turn west on
South Middle Rd approx 1 km. The bird was on the south side of the road.

To see the swans, exit the 401 at the St Joachim exit and go north approx 5 km
to County rd 2. Turn east approx 5 km to the Rochester Townline. Turn north 3
km and look in the fields between the CP and CN rail tracks.
